Real Wedding | Marisa + Jordan

It was a fairy tale wedding for Marisa and Jordan…married at the amazing Castle on the Hudson, they celebrated their wedding with close family and friends. I love the striking red roses and dramatic candelabras, setting the stage at the dinner reception. Intimate and personal, yet sophisticated and elegant, this lovely wedding is one to remember. Cheers to the happy couple!

The ceremony

Our ceremony was held at theCastle on the Hudson in the Great Hall. It is a historic, medieval castle overlooking the Hudson River on acres of manicured gardens and grounds. The Great Hall has beautiful Tiffany style stained glass windows and 40 foot vaulted ceilings. My mother in law served as our officiant and delivered a very personal and special program.

The reception

We had an intimate dinner in the Garden room of the Castle overlooking the grounds and Hudson River with forty of our closest friends and family.  Guests were seated at long banquet style tables with crystal candleabras and red roses. We were served a fabulous five-course dinner from Equus, the Castle’s 5 star restaurant.

How Marisa found her dream wedding dress

Knowing I was getting married in a castle, I was looking for a dress that was elegant and vintage-y.  I found my dress at the second store I went to with my mom, dad, and sister.  I tried on many dresses, but when I put this on I knew it was the one.

Why Marisa decided to sell her wedding dress

I felt beautiful on my wedding day and I would love for the dress to bring joy to other brides!
