Real Wedding | Lucy + Don

It was “Game Over” when this entertaining couple tied the knot last fall. This clever theme showed off their sense of humor, and gave guests the chance to experience a one-of-a-kind celebration. One thing that wasn’t a laughing matter: Lucy’s gorgeous Maggie Sottero gown. It was sophisticated and elegant, making her the belle of this madcap ball!

The ceremony

We were already legally married so the overriding principle of the “wedding” was less ceremony, more fun. The neon hair, headgear and glasses were just for laughs. As you can probably tell we don’t take ourselves very seriously and have no problems laughing at ourselves!

The reception

Our theme was a “Game Over” airlines theme. We wanted to do something different, and memorable; something that was uniquely Lucy & Don. Through a little creativity and personalized artistic touch the rest of the wedding became a giant Do-It-Yourself project. Everything from the Game Over Passport invitations, to the brides maids bouquet, to Pomander balls, centerpieces to Boarding Pass seating assignments were all handcrafted by Lucy and friends.

How Lucy felt in her wedding dress

Elegant and Classy

Why Lucy decided to sell her wedding gown

This dress was no doubt the one. It’s gorgeous, elegant, and classy.  I hope that another bride will be able to feel the same way I did.
