Real Wedding | Lisa + Sean

Soft lighting and sparkling details gave Lisa and Sean’s December wedding a warm and magical ambiance. I love the striking red bridesmaids’ dresses and Lisa’s gorgeous bridal bouquet adorned with faux crystals. The black and white décor was the perfect compliment for this winter wedding scene. Congratulations to this lovely couple on their elegant and sophisticated celebration!

The ceremony

Our Catholic ceremony was held at St. Matthew Parish, a beautiful, modern, local church. We developed a wonderful relationship with the Parish community and were happy to be married by a priest that knew us well and would make the ceremony that much more special. We also loved the idea of a wedding close to Christmas. Everyone is in such a great mood and in the spirit of the season.

The reception

When it came to the reception, our expectations were simple. We wanted a gorgeous room, great food, and a great party! We had a traditional Italian meal followed by a night of dancing and fun with 250 of our closest friends and family. We mixed popular music with Italian tarantellas and celebrated until the wee hours of the morning.

How Lisa felt in her wedding dress

Why Lisa decided to sell her wedding dress

I was very fortunate that my mom purchased my wedding dress for me, a dress I could not have afforded on my own. It would pain me to box it up and hide in it a closet never to be worn again. I would be thrilled to give someone the opportunity to wear a beautiful gown that they may not be able to afford otherwise. Purchasing my dress was one of the best experiences involved in getting married, and I want my daughter to experience the same excitement of finding the gown that was made for her.
