I really can’t get enough of this super chic wedding. Honestly. That venue. That dress. The decor. I could go on and on….take a peek and I know you’ll agree this wedding is oh so stylish.
Lauren & Frederic | August 11, 2010 | ISRAEL
How he proposed Fred proposed last August in Israel while on vacation on the terrace of our hotel room, he said with a smile and a beautiful ring “lets get married!” and so we decided it had to be back in Israel the next summer.
The ceremony The ceremony was after sunset in a garden in Israel, the rabbi sang the blessings and it was very traditional Jewish wedding ceremony (half in Hebrew for brides family, half french- grooms family and some in English for the American friends).
The moment Lauren will never forget Walking down the aisle.. and standing under the huppah and seeing all the people I love staring at us with love, it was incredible.
The reception The reception was in a wedding hall that we draped with black curtains, the decor was fabulous- very modern and chic, white flowers everyone with table clothes in black with silver. We created a lounge/club feel around the dance floor with couches and a huge bar. The DJ was from NYC nightclubs, the crowd was very young and energetic…
Savings & Splurges We splurged on the design and food and dessert, we saved on bringing our own top shelf alcohol from duty free, having a dj rather than a band- even though we both preferred a DJ anyway!
How she knew her dress was “The One” This was the first wedding dress I tried on ever, and the first wedding dress I saw when I arrived to the bridal salon… it was me in every way and I loved how it fit, the second I had it on I knew it was special!!
Why she decided to sell her wedding dress Now that I’ve had my night and my dream wedding, I do not want to preserve the gown and put it in a box, I would love for someone else to wear it on their day and make it their own.
Her advice for other brides Realize that the wedding is to celebrate you and your future husbands new life together and to embrace every moment!
