Real Wedding | Kelly + Brian

Here’s a sweet and Southern spring wedding with lots of fun inspiration. I love the DIY touches, like the paper heart garland, mason jar flowers and lighting. Kelly looked gorgeous in her form fitting gown, with lace detailing and a lovely satin sash. Cheers to this beautiful couple!

The ceremony

Our ceremony was held at South Highland Presbyterian Church, which provided an intimate setting that was the perfect size for close family and friends. The beautiful stained glass windows allowed us to save money on altar flowers, too!  It was the first time for most of our family to meet since we’re from different parts of the country, and although the best man passed out a couple minutes into the ceremony, he bounced right back and just added character to our day!

The reception

Following the ceremony the wedding party took a stroll down the street to Chez Fonfon, for a round of drinks before meeting everyone at the Birmingham botanical gardens.  Guests were asked to sign a poster of the two of us and were able to view the gardens from the balcony just outside the reception hall. As a thank you to all our friends and family who traveled so far to be with us, we tried to make the reception as relaxed and fun as we could.
