Real Wedding | Jennifer & Michael

I love the glamorous vibe of this wedding.  And especially the modern color palette, amazing tablescapes,  and perfect venue choice.  Wedding planners always stress the importance of lighting  – and this wedding is a perfect example. The dramatic lighting adds amazing impact and sets a chic and stylish mood to the entire evening.

How he proposed
After leaving the Radio City Rockette show he proposed in front of the Christmas tree and tons of people at Rockefeller Center in NYC.

The ceremony
Traditional full Catholic Mass.

The reception
Seasons did a spectacular job on our wedding day! The food was phenominal and our guests haven’t stopped raving about the job they did. The premises are beautiful and the hall as a whole was perfect!

Wedding DIY
I searched for a site that would do a custom monogram for a reasonable price. I couldn’t find this so I purchased a runner for $50 and painted the monogram on myself. Saving me nearly $500.

We also searched for someone to do our invitations on a small budget. We got numerous quotes but for what we were looking for most stationary stores quoted us over $2,000. I reached out to Tammy at Marry Me! Designs in IL.  She designed our invitation to include our color choices and unique specifications while staying under our $800 budget. We loved them and received so many compliments! Our guests really thought we broke the piggy bank to purchase them!

What made her wedding dress “The One”
I tried on about 10 dresses at the first store before I found the ONE! It was the last dress I tried on and the one I found in a magazine and requested the store to ship in for me to try on. I always imagined myself in a big princess ball gown dress, (very “bridey”) but I felt lost in them when I tried them on. I wasn’t looking for a cute gown, I wanted my husband to NEVER forget how I looked that day. I really wanted to find something to make him think I looked beautiful and more so, SEXY!! My end choice was an Amalia Carrera gown that fit my body type and flattered my figure.

Her advice for other brides
Do your homework!!!! Read reviews online, they don’t lie! It is the most important day and you want it to run smoothly. We were extremely unhappy with our florist. For the money we paid he did not deliver, literally! One vendor could throw the whole thing off. Remember, you get what you pay for!
