When Jamie fell in love with her Enzoani Faye gown in a magazine, she didn’t give up her search even after she found out the dress was not available in stores yet. Instead, today’s featured bride contacted the Enzoani office directly and had a sample dress shipped out to her! Other things to love about Jamie and Jonathan’s traditional outdoor estate wedding: vibrant pops of ‘happy yellow’ decor, a beautiful birch tree canopy designed by the grooms mother; and a fashion designer bride who designed each one of her bridesmaid’s individualized dresses. Enjoy!
Jamie + Jonathan | May 29, 2011 | Endicott Estate, Dedham, Massachusetts
The Ceremony
Our ceremony was held outdoors at the Endicott Estate, a beautiful historical manor southeast of Boston. With plenty of space for guests to enjoy themselves both indoors and out, I knew right away this was the place I wanted to be married. We had perfect weather, and we could not have asked for a more beautiful May day with loads of streaming sunshine. We had a traditional Jewish ceremony and our close family members were all able to participate. The same Rabbi, who married Jon’s parents, married us – which was very special. Jon’s mom designed the wedding canopy, and I designed the bridesmaid dresses. I always knew I wanted bright, happy yellow and for each girl to choose the style of dress that suited her best. I had six bridesmaids and three flower girls. Jon had three groomsmen and six very well behaved ring bearers! The bridesmaids carried calla lilies, while my bouquet was white roses and white peonies.
The Reception
Our reception was held under a tent on the lawn of the Estate. We decided to keep the decor simple and clean so it did not take away from the beauty of the property. We wanted the reception to be fun and intimate, but not too fancy, and it was exactly how we imagined it. Our band was District 21, and they rocked it! Everyone was dancing from dinner ’til dark! And I loved how the tent looked late at night.
Jamie’s Dress Search
I am a fashion designer and I am around beautiful dresses all day, so I think my friends and family expected I would have a very specific wedding dress in mind and that I would want to design it myself. But the search for a wedding dress is completely unique, and I wanted to have the same experience as every other bride! When I started my search, I was leaning towards a beaded or lace style, but I kept an open mind and tried on a lot of shapes and styles. After a few weeks of shopping, I saw my dress in a magazine and I knew it was the one. But it wasn’t for sale yet! I tracked it down from the Enzoani office, and they shipped the sample dress to a store near my parent’s house. I loved it. It turns out I didn’t love fully beaded or intricate lace gowns. This dress was simple in fabric, but was unique because of the fabric treatment.

Why Jamie Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I have never felt as exquisite as I felt in this dress on my wedding day. I felt gorgeous, sexy, and confident. It would make me so happy to know that another bride got as much joy out of this dress as I did!
