Jackie’s lovely garden party inspired wedding hit all the right notes. Its was timeless and classic…elegant yet relaxed. Jackie looked gorgeous, glowing from the inside out, as she walked down the aisle in her ethereal Monique Lhuillier strapless gown. DIY touches, picture perfect weather and lots of love made this a celebration to remember!

The ceremony
We chose Morven Park in Leesburg for our ceremony and reception. It’s a historic mansion on a sprawling lush green estate, which we thought fit our “Midsummer Night Dream” theme. Everything was outdoors and for a year, I worried constantly about the weather, but we lucked out!
The reception
We had a pole tent set up on an oak-lined croquet field overlooking the mansion. Jacob and I picked out the decor and designed the wedding ourselves. We gave our own homemade blueberry mead as favors to our guests and spent months collecting the antique candelabra centerpieces that we had our florist drape with ivy, roses and lilac. It definitely looked the part of an enchanted magical evening in the woods! Everything fell into place beautifully, we could not have been happier.

Why Jackie decided to sell her wedding dress
This dress is simply gorgeous- I wasn’t a believer in “the dream dress” until I found it! It was like armor on my wedding day- anything could have gone wrong but I was in “THE dress.” It does not belong in a box in my closet when it can bring another bride so much happiness and magic on her wedding day!
