Diana and Steve planned a wedding that proves you don’t have to go over the top to have a fabulous and beautiful celebration. What style ideas will you want to borrow from this wedding? How about the super chic, non-traditional bridesmaid’s dresses? Or Diana’s gorgeous color palette (strong blues and pinks). I love their guestbook – guests signed a photobook featuring engagement pictures. My absolute favorite? Their adorable cake toppers – a custom made Mr. & Mrs. created in Diana and Steve’s image. So sweet!

How they met
Steve and I met at work and have been dating since January 2004.
Both the ceremony and the reception took place at the Liberty House in Liberty State Park in Jersey City.
The moment that Diana will never forget
Our officiant Celia Milton did such a wonderful job with our ceremony. It was super personal and full of love. She told our love story to our guests and infused the ceremony with humor and quotations from various poems & books.
I wanted a dress that fit my style – classic but not super formal, while being unique & elegant. I tried on a bunch of dresses at Priscilla of Boston on two separate occasions and I ended up going back to the Melissa Sweet, Fern. Just to be sure that she was the one, I went to Kleinfelds to try on some more & while I found one more that I liked, I didnt like it nearly as much as Fern. With those last dresses, my decision was made! I ordered Fern the next day…
Why Diana decided to sell her wedding dress
I decided to sell my dress because it was the practical thing to do! My girlfriend sold her dress after her wedding last year & told me about how easy the process was, and how happy the bride she sold it to was! It was a very emotional decision to sell my dress, but I know it makes sense…. in the end, I’ll have some extra cash in our savings account and won’t have to figure out what to do with a wedding dress in a huge box! 🙂
I just hope the next bride that wears it loves it as much as I do! I could not have imagined a more perfect dress for our special day…
