I’ve been so excited to post this wedding ever since we received it. I got chills TWICE reading this story. I’m mean, really, she knew he was the one before she even met him. (And she was right.) And his proposal…quite possibly the sweetest story I’ve ever heard.
Read on about David and Kate’s wedding… be prepared for the goosebumps.

How you met
When I was 18 and studying at Mt. Holyoke in Massachusetts, I heard a recording of David singing and remarked to her friend “I’m going to marry that boy”. We began talking and David eventually flew from Dallas (where he was attending college) to Massachusetts to see Kate sight unseen. On the drive back from the Boston airport, our hands first touched when they both reached for the car radio at the same time.
How he proposed
I knew what was coming. David knew he could only surprise me in my sleep. He put a ring on her finger while I took a nap (it took about an hour to get it on undetected!). When I woke up and David popped the question!
The Ceremony and Reception
We had a party to celebrate our marriage in a local vineyard near our new home in Ashland, Oregon. It included many of our favorite things – the outdoors, 360 degree views of the mountains, wine, a gluten free menu and our loved ones!
Kate’s favorite detail
The gluten-free cherry cheesecake made from scratch by my dear friend.
