Real Wedding | Claire + Conan

This intimate wedding set in Ireland, in an 1830s Georgian Manor is an absolute treat for the senses and one of the most elegant locations for a wedding that I have ever seen!  Each event from this special day looks more vibrant and attractive than the next…Gorgeous architecture in a powder blue room where Claire + Conan said I do; beautiful and seemingly endless green space where guests visited post-ceremony; and a grand dinning room in that delicious hue of red that shouts, Bring your appetite! But my favorite part, the thing I have been waiting all week to gush about is Claire’s flattering Carolina Herrara “Evelyn” gown with it’s sheer neckline and all of that beautifully detailed and delicate Chantilly lace .  This gown is absolute perfection.  Enjoy!

Claire + Conan | April 21, 2012, Dunbrody House, County Wexford, Ireland

The Ceremony
The ceremony was held in Dunbrody House – a 1830s Georgian Manor that is a luxury hotel and cooking school. The most elegant location we could have asked for and wonderful to have friends and family around for two days of celebrations and fun. Our ceremony was very intimate and personal, with vows written by the bride and groom. The groom’s parents both lived nearby to the wedding location, so it seemed the most fitting place to have family and friends from Ireland, the UK, the US, Singapore and Canada all gather to celebrate.

The Reception
Following the ceremony, guests spilled outdoors to enjoy the warmth and sunshine along with champagne and canapés. Dinner was served in the elegant Dunbrody House dining room with a spectacular meal prepared by chef Kevin Dundon. Everything about the day tied together seamlessly – from the beautiful venue to the intimate ceremony to the choice of dress and personal touches such as ice wine brought in from a friend’s family winery in Canada. Although many guests had not previously met, it felt like a big family reunion. In lieu of a cake, we had meringue desserts (the groom’s favorite), followed by cheese trays and milk and cookies.

Claire’s Dress Search
We had talked about our vision for the day, and the definition of the dress took shape easily. Interestingly, I have always loved the lace dress that Carolina Herrera designed for her daughter Carolina Jr, so it was like destiny when I found this dress. I knew I wanted timeless and elegant, Conan said he wanted lace, and this was the first dress I was given to try on!

How Claire Felt in Her Wedding Dress
Beautiful, Elegant and Classic.

Why Claire Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I love my dress but know I will never wear it again and it’s far too beautiful to sit in a box! I want another bride to feel as amazing as I did in this gorgeous dress.
