Real Wedding | Christy + Mitch

Just 80 miles north of Seattle, Christy and Mitch’s wedding in Roche Harbor was an intimate celebration for 40 of their closest friends and loved ones.  I love the tasteful choice of words described on the couples wedding invitation: Because you have shared in our lives by your friendship & love… What a lovely message, simple, elegant and thought provoking and such was the theme of their special day: beautiful flowers, classic Washington state with all of it’s coastal charm, a divine Melissa Sweet lace gown and a very happy and beautiful couple.  Congratulations Christy + Mitch!

Christy + Mitch | April 27, 2012 | Roche Harbor, Washington

The Ceremony
Our ceremony was intimate and elegant. There were 40 people seated in the gardens overlooking the ocean. The ceremony was written by both Mitch & I and given by a close friend.

The Reception
The reception had an hour of cocktails outside on the patio next to a roaring grand fireplace. We went inside for dinner and the night was filled with laughter, tears and smiles. Mitch & I danced our foxtrot that we had been practicing for months. He then gave a speech that brought tears to my eyes. The night ended with dancing inside, cigars out on the patio with the fireplace and mingling throughout.

Christy’s Dress Search
I knew I wanted a dress with lace and a natural waistline. I wanted it to be elegant and last the test of time. I thought I wanted short sleeves, but when I tried on the strapless sweetheart I fell in love with it.

Perfect, Magical and Radiant

Why Christy Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I want someone else to feel as stunning as I did on my wedding day and it made me sad to think of the dress staying in my closet.
