Real Wedding | Christina + Darwin

Christina and Darwin celebrated their love, and their love of nature, with a gorgeous outdoor ceremony and a chic-rustic style reception held at a local farm.  At the reception, twinkle lights lined the room and added to the festive atmosphere. I love the white flowers and light colored linens against the backdrop of the dark wood beams of the barn.  The atmosphere was naturally beautiful…simply elegant…and absolutely perfect!

The ceremony

Darwin and I only had one requirement when planning our wedding.  It had to be an outside ceremony. I would describe our wedding as rustic elegance. We were married under a gazebo by the pond on a large farm.  Nature was all around and served as a breathtaking backdrop. We surprised each other by writing our own vows and released a dove to symbolize our unity and new start on the journey of life.

The reception

Our reception took place at the same farm. We continued the rustic feeling by having the reception inside a huge restored barn, complete with silo. All our flower arrangements were white, and table decor was simple yet elegant. For the meal, our French chef prepared a delicious buffet of comfort foods. The evening was full of traditions such as cake cutting, dancing, speeches, toasts and the bouquet toss.  The children loved the candy toss and the older adults loved the “generation dance” (which my grandparents, who have been married the longest, won ).

Why she decided to sell her wedding dress

I have decided to sell my dress because I knew the second I saw it that would be MY dress.  I can’t recall a day when I’ve felt more beautiful and special.  I would love for some other lucky girl out there to share in having the dress of her dreams.
