The beautiful Grand Del Mar resort was the perfect setting for Christi and Matt’s elegant and sophisticated wedding celebration. From the ceremony on the lawn, to the reception in the Chapel (yes, the Chapel!) it was an evening filled with joyful moments and chic style. Don’t miss Christi’s charming story about finding her dream wedding gown…brides take note, if you are trying on wedding dresses and you make a total stranger cry, you know you’ve found a winner!

The ceremony
Our late afternoon ceremony was held on the Aria lawn at The Grand Del Mar. Beautiful white roses adorned the aisle and my father was our officiant. It was perfect!
The reception
The reception took place at the Grand Del Mar Capella Chapel. My wedding colors were gun metal gray, white and black. Guests sat at a mix of round and square tables, and we had a king’s table set in front of the dance floor. We entered the reception to “Good Life” by One Republic and our first dance was to “When You Say Nothing at All” performed by our friend (and groomsman), Chris. The photobooth was a big hit with all our guests. The whole evening was very romantic and full of love…
The way Christi felt in her wedding dress
Glamorous, Beautiful, Special. This dress had such an impact on everyone… when I was doing my first fitting in Jenny’s Newport location, I came out of the fitting suite and a random mother of a groom was in there getting fitted for her sons wedding. She started crying when she saw the dress and said she has never seen anything so perfect. It’s a very special dress!
Why she decided to sell her wedding dress
I made a deal with my husband prior to buying the dress that if I bought a dress at this price I would sell it after the wedding… I don’t regret the decision at all, it was the perfect wedding gown, I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life. I am lucky enough to attend award shows and premieres in the LA area so wearing a gown is not foreign to me, but this dress was in a league of its own.
