Real Wedding | Beverly + Vince

East meets West in this lovely New York City wedding. Beverly and Vince were married in New York’s Central Park and then celebrated with a lavish Chinatown reception. Asian traditions blended effortlessly with modern style. I love Beverly’s bright color scheme…purple and pink flowers were the perfect “pop” of color against the sweet ivory bridesmaids dresses. Beverly’s Melissa Sweet dress was the perfect choice, too. It’s formal, but not fussy, and soooo very flattering on her.  Simply beautiful!

How they met

We met in college.

The ceremony

The ceremony was in Central Park by the Pond under Bow Bridge.

The reception

It was a Chinese style reception,  in Mahattan’s Chinatown.

The moment that Beverly will never forget

I’ll never forget walking down the isle and realizing that it was all going to happen that day, that moment.

How Beverly knew her wedding dress was “the One”

I had tried on over 30 dresses before I found “the One.” I wanted a dress that would never go out of style. That would be elegant, but fun and represent a young bride. I searched until I found this Melissa Sweet style. And then I realized that I had been searching for this dress all along, and the reason I hadn’t found it yet was because it had not been designed!!!!

Why Beverly decided to sell her wedding dress

Instead of sitting in my closet, I feel like someone else should spend the most beautiful day in her life in this dress too. My husband agreed to me buying this dress only under one condition — that I would try to sell it to recoup some of the wedding cost :(.
