Real Wedding | Angie + Zoli

Calling all romantics! Angie and Zoli’s summer wedding is loaded with sweet and simple charm.  I’m loving the retro feel of the yellow cocktail dresses the  bridesmaids wore and the delicate daisy bouquets they carried.  The “lovebird” logo that adorned the program and menu was another charming touch. Happy Valentine’s Day to these lovebirds…and to all our readers!

The ceremony

Our ceremony was held at St. James Lutheran in Lincoln Park.  It was traditional, sweet and simple.

The reception

The reception was held down the street at Cortelyou Commons, a DePaul University building.  It had a rustic, old world feel with lots of personal details.  We incorporated Zoli’s Hungarian background by offering his mom’s famous pork stew as one of the food choices, having a “crepe” wedding cake and our favors were Hungarian Paprika with my favorite Hungarian pepper stew recipe attached.

How Angie found her dream wedding dress

I started my dress search thinking I wanted something all lace, open back and with a hint of sexy.  I ended up picking something completely different with the Amsale Tyler, very simple with the A-line style.  I fell in love with the silk organza and the way the adorable flower belt brought out the playfulness of my personality.

Why Angie decided to sell her wedding dress

Although I absolutely love my wedding dress, I don’t feel attached to keeping it.  I think it would be amazing to see photos of another bride enjoying such a wonderful gown.
