Amy and Shaun’s summer wedding in the mountains was beyond gorgeous. With the men dressed in full military uniform, and Amy in one of the most exquisite dresses I’ve ever seen, this wedding had a regal atmosphere. But don’t think it was all formality and no fun…guests cut loose and partied the night away at the joyous reception (don’t miss the outrageous father daughter dance!). Such a perfect way to say “I do!”

The ceremony
The ceremony took place at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church on a sunny day with distant dramatic thunderstorms. We left the ceremony in a Rolls Royce that delivered us to our reception just at the end of cocktail hour.
The reception
The reception took place at the River Run Lodge (one of the beautiful ski lodges at Bald Mountain). It was interesting to get so dressed up for a place where I usually tromp around in my ski boots. The reception was magnificent with the ski lift in the background, a great DJ and a surprise father daughter dance that really caught everyone off guard including my husband (see it here). The whole event was such a success down to the very last detail, especially in the fact that I got such an awesome husband!
