A German couple engaged in Jamaica and married in Spain: it doesn’t get much more international than that! Raquel and Marco were married in a Spanish hacienda that just oozed style. A dramatic courtyard entrance, party-ready music playlist and a couple so in love all add up to one totally magical wedding!

The Ceremony
Both my husband and I were born in Germany, but our parents are from Spain. I’m half-Irish, half-Spanish and although we both live in Germany we feel more like Spaniards than Germans. A great part of our hearts belongs to the Spanish city Seville. And for me it was always clear that we would get married in Seville.
We wanted a short ceremony because I was very nervous having to speak up in front of everybody and was afraid of getting very emotional. So we had a lot of music during the ceremony. When I got out of the car and was led to the altar by my dad, one of my husband’s cousins played “November Rain” on the keyboard: Guns n’ Roses is one our favourite bands! For the exchanging of rings a song by Muse was played, and after the ceremony we had Bob Marley “Is it Love.” We got engaged in Jamaica, my husband loves Bob Marley and when we were in Seville looking at wedding locations a street singer came to our table and sang the song for us – brilliant!
The Reception
After the ceremony we had Spanish tapas accompanied by a Spanish band that played our favourite Spanish songs. After the appetizers all our guests were lead to the dinner, and as soon as the guests were all seated we made our entrance with our favourite Lenny Kravitz song. Our entrance was spectacular, with the music, all the cameras, the lights and everybody looking at us. It made me feel like a celebrity.
Raquel’s Dress Search
I tried on about 10 dresses. But “my” dress was one of the first and I kept looking at similar dresses so in the end I decided on “my” dress. And the decision was easy for me as I loved it from the start! I chose my dress because I loved the back of it and I felt really comfortable in it. It was important to me to feel really comfortable and to be able to move.

Why Raquel Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I want to have another woman feel the same way I did that day and enjoy the dress one more time, instead of it hanging in my closet. My memories will always stay the same with or without the dress.
