Peaceful Beach Wedding in Jamaica at Round Hill Resort

Scrolling through the images from Emmett and Delphine’s beach wedding in Jamaica (at the amazing Round Hill Resort !) shows us how wonderful a peaceful wedding day can be. Read on for more about their planning and how they chose a destination wedding!

“Boasting a warm and endearing climate, Jamaica seemed to whisper “lets focus on us” to Emmett and Delphine. The island served as the perfect escape from the bustle of Paris where the two reside. Delphine originally had her heart set on a grand Parisian wedding but changed her mind a few months into planning, realizing that the way she wanted to feel on her wedding day was not in line with her direction. In her own words, “Planning a wedding felt the same scale as a project for work. I didn’t want to see my wedding as work, I wanted it to be joyous, something to look forward to.” A heart-to-heart and a few phone calls to family later the couple decided to elope whilst on holiday and host a big party in Paris upon their return.

Emmett and Delphine knew they wanted to go somewhere warm, where deep peaceful sighs would align with the breaking of waves. Upon the recommendation of a friend they looked at Round Hill Resort and found the chic, intimate spot to be perfect. With the venue chosen this left their other priority, photography, to be decided upon. Delphine says “We looked at many destination photographers and we knew we had to have Amelia wherever we were married. Her work has such a feel as distinct as her fingerprint. The world is more beautiful through her lens. Emmett and I are both in creative fields so having someone that could translate our wedding experience into romantic, ethereal memories we could revisit and hold was essential.”

With only a local officiant and their photographer, they exchanged personal vows at the water’s edge. Delphine reminisces, “Our wedding was so peaceful and restful. A wedding day has a lot of emotional outpouring and it was lovely to be able to unwind together on the beach. Warm sand, clear blue water, and love – what more could you need?”
