Hawaii has always been a popular destination for weddings, elopements, and honeymooners, and we have no doubts as to why. But, we know that with tropical wedding destinations, it can be difficult for discerning couples to plan a wedding that feels more like themselves. That’s why we are excited to share this beautiful beautiful bridal shoot from Kylie Swanson. The landscape is more pastoral than we’re used to seeing in Hawaii weddings, ushering in a more delicate, romantic view of a destination bride.

More from the stylist:
“Nestled on the western slopes of Mauna Kea, a 13,800 foot high dormant volcano, Waiki’i ranch sits between 3,000 and 5,000 feet elevation and encompasses over 3,000 acres of gently sloping pasture with groves of eucalyptus and Monterey Cypress trees. In other words, this secluded spot is the perfect slice of paradise to say “I do” for any couple looking for a non-traditional Hawaiian wedding. With breathtaking views of the ocean amidst the peacefulness of the pasturelands, we found inspiration among the landscape and began our story with an early morning ride throughout the sprawling acreage of the ranch–our idea of the perfect start to any wedding day.”
