Nicole + Ryan’s garden wedding is so sweet and inviting! With minimal decorations, the old oak tree this couple were married under and the grassy space where they held their reception made for such a fun and romantic atmosphere. Adding to the ambiance, is the really successful use of bistro lights! I love that the lighting is so simple but truly frames the whole evening in warm, soft light. Don’t miss Nicole’s Anne Barge gown, made from light, airy tulle with added custom pearl capped sleeves and a beautiful princess bow on the back. Enjoy!

The Ceremony + Reception
Ryan and I were married on March 2, 2013 in Tampa, Florida at the Davis Islands Garden Club. The reception and ceremony were both held at the same location, the ceremony and dinner taking place outside on the water and the dancing took place inside. Our beautiful venue is located on the water with a gorgeous view of downtown Tampa. It was the perfect setting with gorgeous oak trees, a large veranda, a gazebo, and open grassy spaces for our outdoor wedding. The ceremony was held under an oak tree with minimal decorations and the dinner was spread out across the grassy area with long feasting tables and magical twinkling bistro lights.
Nicole’s Dress Search
I wanted a dress with cap sleeves and I wasn’t finding anything that fit my body well. I ended up choosing an Anne Barge trunk show dress that made my large hips look smaller with the perfect sweetheart neckline and then adding cap sleeves to the dress. I had always dreamed of having a large bow at the back and a tulle dress, so we added that too!
How Nicole Felt in Her Wedding Dress
I felt like a princess, the dress was so bouncy and magical.
Why Nicole Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I looked for so long for the perfect dress for my body and ended up with something completely custom. I want to sell my dress because it is so unique; I just know someone is looking for something exactly like this.
