The Ceremony
Our wedding was held at the Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort, Gulf Club and Spa – it was the most beautiful day of our lives. The location of the ceremony was especially meaningful to us. Four years prior to our wedding we visited the resort for the first time and during that trip we both realized that we were meant to be together. So, we decided it was only fitting to exchange our vows right there in the exact spot we first fell in love. The day of our wedding couldn’t have been more perfect. My bridesmaids and I enjoyed the morning in a gorgeous suite with a direct view of the Gulf of Mexico…and of my future husband. I could see him off in the distance on the beach and it seemed almost surreal to know that in a few short hours we would be married. The ceremony itself was simply stunning. Crisp white chairs with green and white hydrangeas were the centerpieces to the soft sand and blue skies. A steel drum played “Here Comes The Bride” as I walked down the isle. My handsome groom wore a fitted grey Versace suit and the vintage Rolex I gave him for a wedding gift. We exchanged vows right there in the sand, surrounded by our loved ones in the most beautiful setting. While my husband and I took photos the rest of our guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the beach. Waiters passed Hors d’oeuvres while steel drummers entertained.
The Reception
Our reception was so romantic and elegant. String lights draped the sky while hydrangeas and candles filled the tables. My mother welcomed our guests with a prayer and our Maid of Honor and Best man gave hilariously perfect speeches. The first dance was to Van Morrison’s Tupelo Honey. Our guests circled around us and held sparklers while we danced to our favorite love song. After dinner we enjoyed a yummy lemon torte and then we danced the night away. It couldn’t have been a more perfect evening.
Nicole’s Dress Search
I went to one store on a Tuesday night and in thirty minutes I had bought my DREAM dress. I knew which dress I was meant to wear even before I was engaged! I tried on two other Monique Lhuillier gowns just to make sure that the Monique Lhuillier, Amaranth was the perfect dress. And it was. It just felt right. I felt sexy yet sophisticated and above all I felt down right beautiful.

I decided to sell my dress because I believe in smart investments. This dress was worth every penny for how incredible I felt on my wedding day. My husband and I recently purchased a new home that now houses my $7,000 wedding gown that I will never wear again. I have stunning photos and an incredible video documenting our entire day. I want to allow another bride the opportunity to feel as beautiful as I did.
