Nathan + Angela

unique feather wedding hairpiece

When Angela, the lovely bride below, recently sent me her backyard wedding I jumped at the chance to feature it on Once Wed because the whole celebration just oozes with so much sweetness and love. Every detail is just precious, and can’t believe the whole event was pulled of on a budget. Angela was kind enough to come on the site for the day to share more about their wedding….

Nathan & I love photography. One of our favorite things to do together is take pictures. We are part of a small art company called Verdure Studio. But Nathan’s real job is being a musician. He travels to play drums in a band called Anberlin. As for me, right now my job is taking care of my husband & decorating our apartment — and what girl wouldn’t be happy or excited about that?!

My dress is from Jessica McClintock, I fell in love with it immediately because it was so different looking. I loved the tiers and the shape of it — it felt very vintage, which went nicely with my ring! My hairpiece is from Etsy, made by Portobellow.

Nathan’s suit is from Zara. The groomsmen’s vests are from Forever 21, and the ties, pants, and button-ups were from various other places.

Our florist was Amy Fretto from Grassroots Flowers. She does beautiful arrangements of really unique flowers. She did an amazing job from the centerpieces to the bouquets, to the boutonnieres. She really captured what I wanted, and I couldn’t have been more pleased.

The bridesmaids dresses are from Urban Outfitters, and their sweaters are from Forever 21. The Jr Bridesmaids skirts were handmade by my sister-in-law, the fabric used was Amy Butler. Their tops and sweaters were from Old Navy.

Photography by Beulah Anne except for the group shot at the bottom and the image of Angela holding her bouquet which were taken by Parker Young.

Stay tuned for the ceremony coming up next!
