The Ceremony
Our family friend was our officiant and put together the most beautiful ceremony. It was truly the most inspiring words about marriage and our future together! We were married in front of a large tree facing the water with the beach on our left and mountains in the background. I was inspired by a very contemporary floral arrangement that had calla lilies, roses and hydrangeas grouped together individually and set on angled glass vases of different heights to frame our wedding platform. The aisles were lined with rose petals and we had a string trio perform our wedding music. I was piped out by a bag piper as well!
The Reception
We had cocktail hour on the lawn with fresh oyster shuckers, classy lounge furniture, a champagne swing hanging from a tree and a beautiful outdoor bar. We then moved under a big white tent, adorned with lights and chandeliers and long tables for dinner and speeches. Dancing was inside the historic home and the dance floor was packed until the very last song!

I must have tried on about 50 dresses. I fell in love with a white Ines Di Santo dress at the first boutique I went to in Denver but wanted to go dress shopping with my mom in my hometown, Vancouver. At one of the boutiques we went to in Vancouver, my mom picked out a dress that she wanted me to try on for fun. I put it on and my jaw dropped, I felt amazing in it. I found out it was another Ines Di Santo dress and it was so special and unique I knew it was the one. I had never seen anything like it before and it was perfect for an outdoor summer wedding.
