Michelle + Mark tied the knot on the hottest day of the year in County Laois, Ireland…which meant that even though they prepped for rain, they were able share I Do’s out on the lawn. What a treat! And I love that Mark proposed to Michelle the first night these two met (so sweet). Don’t miss Michelle’s halter, sheath gown called Luna by Jenny Packham. The Swarovski crystal detailing is so captivating, allowing today’s featured bride to keep accessories elegant, yet simple with sparkling off set hair piece and matching earrings. Pretty, pretty, pretty!

The Ceremony
We currently live just outside Boston, but met in a ski house in Vermont. Mark actually asked me to marry him the first night we met – I thought he was cute, and crazy! It took about 8 more months for us to get together! We were so lucky with the weather, it was the hottest day of the year in Ireland, and so we got married on the lawn! We had prepped for rain! We had a 2:30pm wedding.
The Reception
Irish wedding parties are a little different…we had a cocktail hour from 3pm until 5.30pm, everyone was seated for dinner at 6 and at 10:30 pm the FIRST band started. They played until 1am, then we had a DJ until 2:30am, and then our second band arrived — and set up in the Castle Library…until 5am. The next day, we had a hangover cure/BBQ starting at 4pm the next day in a 400 year old bar called Bob’s at the Castle gate — we had a traditional Irish band come in for this.
Michelle’s Dress Search
I thought that I wanted a sheath type dress, but also quite fancied a larger dress on the other end of the spectrum. My final two were one of each — but Jenny Packham‘s, Luna stole the show for me. I had never seen another dress like it!
How Michelle Felt in Her Wedding Dress
Vintage, Glamor, Ecstatic!! AKA: I just LOVED IT – so thrilled I found it!
Why Michelle Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I probably spent a little more than I wanted to. I battled a bit with this, but I have beautiful photos – I don’t need the dress anymore. I would love to see someone else love it as much as I did!
