Michelle + Adam’s sunset wedding in Simi Valley, California is a sight to behold…Spanish villa, rustic chuppah covered in orchids and an enchanting reception in twinkling candle light with modern, chic decor. I love this Monique Lhuillier gown, Florence. Michelle looks sultry in the form fitting lace and the cap sleeve is so delicate. Bonus for the next gal to be the lucky owner of Florence: the cap sleeves were custom designed by Monique Lhuillier and are removable for a unique day-to-night transformation to a strapless gown. Enjoy!

The Ceremony
We wanted a more traditional ceremony feel that would not take away from the beautiful surroundings. We went with a rustic, Spanish vibe to go with the style of the villa, which was where the bride and groom and wedding party exited from. We had a white a green chuppah placed in front of the gorgeous mountain backdrop.
The Reception
Wanted something fun, modern, and different. Created this feel in the middle of a huge field surrounded by the mountains and the Spanish villa above. We used modern sleek white furniture and mirrored table tops with varying types of chairs. Our flowers were in the purple, green and blue color families.
Michelle’s Dress Search
I tried on many different gowns but knew I wanted something that was both fun, sexy, and form fitting. There were several dresses at Monique Lhuillier that I loved but I ended up choosing Lhuillier’s gown, Florence because I loved the lace on it the most. I also really wanted cap sleeves on the gown that I could remove for the reception, so I ordered extra lace and Monique created gorgeous custom cap sleeves that looked amazing with the dress. A little bit into the reception, I removed the cap sleeves, which created a completely different look.
