I can’t get enough of these shots from Lacy and Gordon’s Malibu ranch wedding. Aren’t the details so amazing? Bash, please did such a fabulous job pulling everything together with so many wonderful diy ideas…
Design elements were both sweet and rustic. Saddlerock is known for their animals roaming the grounds so we set up a “feed the animals” station for guests to wander and pet the camels, zebras, horses, etc. We used a mix of wildflowers, dahlias, ranunculus, berries, apples, geranium, and herbs to create a harvest, organic feel for the florals. We hung mason jars with muslin on the branchy alter filled with florals for a swaying touch of femininity. As a guest book option, we created custom booklets for each dinner table with fun questions to answer about Lacy and Gordon. Such as “What kind of pets will Lacy and Gordon have?” “Where will they travel to in their life?” “Tell us their best traits that will help them in marriage.” We set a pencil at each place setting and it was sweet to watch the guests get so involved in creating these keepsakes.
For dessert, Lacy wanted fresh fruit and apples, so we brought in Bittersweet Treats to create a berry and apple cake as well as caramel apples and apple cupcakes for dessert. Lacy and Gordon had such a fun, beautiful wedding and danced the night away to N’Demand, Gordon’s pick for entertainment. They brought such a great attitude into their planning, each wanting the other to have their personality showcased at the wedding. It showed their love and respect for each other, and created a day filled with memorable originality.
