Here’s a pretty Nevada wedding with a lovely Casablanca gown that was purchased here on PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com. Lisa + Ray’s outdoor ceremony was rustic and contemporary and their I Do’s were said in the nick of time…as a flash thunderstorm hit immediately following the ceremony! Don’t miss the pretty pops of yellow wedding decor, like the string of lemons hanging from the flower arrangements at the altar, the playful use of lemon slices on the wedding cake (with an awesome ‘love’ cake topper), or my favorite: the cute canvas chevron print tote carried by an equally cute flower girl. Enjoy!

The Ceremony
Our wedding took place at an events center called The Grove at South Creek with a contemporary, rustic ambiance in Reno, Nevada. We had a non-traditional, secular ceremony for 270 guests, held outdoors during the early evening and was officiated by Ray’s father. We had our grandparents, parents, and godparents all process down the aisle, and the bride’s two year-old goddaughter was the flower girl. It was a family oriented ceremony where we wanted our loved ones to participate. We participated in a tree planting ceremony, and we plan on planting the tree in the yard of our new home in the coming months. On the day of our wedding there was a 1% chance of rain according to the weather forecast and within one minute of our wedding ceremony ending, a downpour ensued! We were really grateful to have had an indoor-outdoor venue, as well as a tent for our guests to enjoy the sudden thunderstorm.
The Reception
We really wanted our reception to be guest centered, and less about us. It was such an honor to have had so many people from different facets of our lives, present for our wedding day. Most of our guests had traveled a significant distance to Reno, and we wanted our guests to have a great time from the moment they arrived at The Grove. An open bar, a buffet of delicious west coast grub, endless cake and a DJ to play non-stop really helped our guests feel accommodated and gave them the best experience. The dance floor was packed for five hours, and we don’t think our guests could’ve had a better time.
Lisa’s Dress Search
I tried on one dress – the one I purchased from PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com. I knew I didn’t want to try on very many dresses, nor participate in the typical wedding dress purchasing experience. I had a pretty good idea of the type of dress I wanted, and it was just a matter of time before I found one I really loved. I chose the dress I did because I had wanted a dress that had some lace details and was unique but not too fashion forward. I wanted a dress that represented my style and was something I could dance in. The dress was also affordable, and the seller gave me a week to return it if it didn’t suit my needs.

Why Lisa Decided to Buy a PreOwned Wedding Dress
I wanted to buy a pre-owned dress for many reasons, but the main reason being cost. I find it hard to justify a purchase of several thousand dollars for a dress that I will wear one time. Buying a pre-owned wedding dress is also more eco-friendly than purchasing a new one. I would recommend buying a pre-owned dress to anyone!
