Lindsay + Alex | Jim Hjelm Wedding from Alixann Loosle Photography

This Jim Hjlem wedding gown made of champagne silk with lace overlay is so enchanting for Lindsay + Alex’s intimate backyard garden wedding.  I love the bride’s satin sash in blush with peony inspired flower detailing pinned at the bride’s natural waist. Or how about Lindsay’s pretty side-swept fishtail braid? Such a feminine, yet relaxed look that compliments the couple’s natural garden decor…like nuptials under a willow tree, moss + succulents arranged in books, the playful use of artichokes displaying the cake flavors…all tied together with the romantic glow of bistro lights.  Enjoy!

Lindsay + Alex | May 25, 2013 | Sandy, Utah | Dress Listing: Jim Hjelm, 177150

The Ceremony
The ceremony was in the back yard under an arbor, lined with greenery, and willow tree where we hung mason jars with tea lights. The groom’s sister married us under the arbor with our family and friends surrounding us in white chairs.

The Reception
The reception was also held in the back yard. The guests were seated half under the willow tree and half under the sky with cafe lights overhead. The tables had white linen with vintage jars, books, succulents and herbs. The theme was all about greenery and vintage, like you were in an old fashion secret garden. There were two gardens that surrounded the yard. One vegetable garden and a garden of roses. The yard is lined with trees, an old shed and a pasture where the horses graze.

Lindsay’s Dress Search
I started my search with a bohemian garden idea in mind. I went to San Francisco for my search of Sarah Seven dresses which were beautiful. I ended up choosing a Jim Hjelm dress because it had a vintage lace style to it and it made me look and feel like a woman. I knew my husband would love the dress as well.

Like a beautiful, joyful woman…

Why Lindsay Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I decided to sell my dress because I would rather have someone be able to love and wear the dress on their special day than have it sit in my closet collecting dust. I have wonderful pictures to remember my wedding by. I don’t need to keep my dress. I’d rather share the joy of wearing my dress with someone else.
