The Ceremony
We had an intimate outdoor ceremony under an old pecan tree on a sunny April day. We both love nature, so it was important to us to have a ceremony that reflected our appreciation for the outdoors. We worked with an interfaith minister to write our own vows, so the entire ceremony was very personal to us. We also had a few funny moments, including when Lauren couldn’t get Phil’s wedding band on his finger!
The Reception
Our reception was at a converted barn called Vinewood. All of the tables were decorated with lace that Lauren’s mother collected for years. Lauren’s mother also made an incredible light fixture with draping fabrics over the dance floor. After a fantastic dinner and some heartfelt speeches, we reminisced around an outdoor fire pit and danced the night away with 90 of our closest friends and family.

I tried on over 20 dresses! I thought I had wanted a certain type of dress, but when I started trying them on, something wasn’t quite right. Lela Rose’s, The Farm gown caught my eye and as soon as I had it on, I knew it was the one! The dress is elegant and timeless but also has a touch of uniqueness with the organic lace that fit perfectly with our wedding theme.
