Laura + Jeremy’s traditional wedding in Cornwall, England was a lovely event complete with well wishes from villagers as Laura and her dad entered the church. How sweet! Other special details included a reception held at the bride’s family home with a marquee on the lake constructed especially for Laura + Jeremy’s special day – by the father of the bride. Don’t miss Laura’s beautiful Monique Lhuillier, Cherish wedding dress, the silver embroidered lace detailing with silk underlay and white illusion tulle is so exquisite. Enjoy!

The Ceremony
We got married in the church in the village where I grew up. My dad and I were met by all of the local villagers and their cameras as we arrived at the church, who proceeded to give us a round of applause as we walked towards the church door. Jeremy’s cousin had been ordained for just a week and we were lucky enough to have him conduct the ceremony and marry us – it was a very personal service with lots of laughter.
The Reception
The reception was held at my family home, where I grew up. My dad is a builder and bought the derelict corn mill over 35 years ago. It has been his hobby ever since and he managed to turn it into a spectacular wedding venue for the day, which included erecting a marquee over the lake! It couldn’t have been more special and dad couldn’t have been more exhausted!
Laura’s Dress Search
I tried on about fifteen dresses. My dress was the first one I tried on. I couldn’t get it out of my head and no other dress compared to it. It is simply a work of art. The lace is so intricate that I found myself on my hands and knees riffling through the layers in amazement. It is practically edible. The dress was so light and easy to move around in – I didn’t feel restricted in any way and knew that I would be able to make some shapes on the dance floor on the day without any difficulty!

Why Laura Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I don’t plan to wear it again and the thought of it staying wrapped up in a bag where no one can see it is a travesty. I want someone else to feel as amazing as I did in it on their wedding day.
