There is so much to love about this charming wedding. From the intimate setting, to the beautiful decor (styled by the bride!) to the wedding dress that was beyond meant to be, this wedding is brimming with inspiration. But what we love most is a bride and groom so clearly in love and and happy to celebrate their Day with family and friends.

Wedding Dress: Claire Pettibone Genevieve
The Ceremony
It was simple, potent and profound. We chose to have a Blessing Ceremony held by a friend and teacher we hold close to our hearts. A special moment was when Keith and I were looking into each others eyes, we were ever present and committed to the moment as we came together; at which point several of our guests mentioned that they could feel the love between us permeating the room and touching their hearts.
The Reception
Our Reception was a combination of two of our favorite things, good food and good people. It was heaven on earth (or at least it felt like it). Our caterers Field & Fork delivered excellent seamless service to all of our guests, which helped Keith and I stay focused on our guests and our impending speeches. I styled the tables with vintage lace, unique vintage copper frames (with photos from our engagement photo-shoot), large vintage troughs with flowers pouring over, small jars filled with flowers that we too small to go in the boutiques, Keith’s old dj records which were hand painted with copper paint to tie in with the other details, along with our gift to everyone which was a piece of art that I designed to compliment the colours of the wedding, that I individually stamped with our wedding date, initials and hand wrapped with paper and twine. It pulled together the whimsical, romantic, boho look we were looking to create.
Kyla’s Dress Search
I started my dress dreaming process on-line, which is where I first came across Claire Pettibone’s ‘Genevieve’ and thought if I could have any dress in the world I would choose that one! (when I discovered how much it was I continued my search in hopes of a cheaper alternative).
I went onto Claire Pettibone’s website and saw that Leonie Claire Bridal in Brighton would be holding a Claire Pettibone’s Trunk Show! I couldn’t believe it. When I arrived at Leonie Claire Bridal Boutique in Brighton, Leonie (aka the bride whisperer & owner of the boutique) let me walk around to begin selecting the dresses I wanted to try on, however, I only had eyes for Claire’s pieces. She started to remove each dress I had chosen off the rail, as she came to take Genevieve off the rail I started to cry- yep cry (!) When I put Genevieve on it was as if everything made sense, the wedding, me, it was the ONE! Eek! At a loss of how to extend a £1,500 – £1,800 budget to £4,310 wasn’t the biggest challenge, it was how to tell my soon-to-be husband that I was willing to pay over £4,000 dress I was only going to wear once! Saying this I had absolutely NO idea how I was going to make it happen?!
So I did it, I took a leap of faith and trusted that the abundance would come in and that I would be provided for because in my heart I knew it was the ONE – and to my surprise it did!
How She Felt In Her Wedding Dress
At-one-with-myself, Blessed, A Queen
Why Kyla’s selling her wedding dress:
To be honest I never thought I would be able to bring myself to sell it. But then I realised that a dress this beautiful deserves to be worn time and time again, in a sense it feels like that’s why it has been designed, to radiate it’s beauty, to allow others to enhance their beauty through wearing it. So I have now arrived at feeling that it would be wrong to keep it, knowing that someone else could receive as much pleasure, joy and compliments as I have wearing it!
