The Ceremony
Our wedding was held on August 16, 2014 on our family’s estate in Abbotsford, British Columbia. The ceremony was held outdoors with a fully landscaped setting, lavender lined aisles and a cascading pond in the background.
The Reception
Our reception was held on the same family property as the ceremony. Overlooking acres of blueberries, we decorated the open-air tent with vintage family heirlooms and rustic themed decorations – many of which Kristina made herself. A makeshift lounge was created with hay bales and high bar tables away from the main seating area. Our guests loved this idea. We had a BBQ feast for dinner complete with a whole roast pig! Once everyone was full, we listened to speeches as the sun set and then danced the night away in the warm summer air.
Kristina’s Dress Search
I tried on about fifteen dresses in two different boutiques. I had it narrowed down to two designers, Lazaro and Vera Wang, early on before going. I knew I wanted something that was a statement piece with lots of drama and texture. I tried on other designer dresses just to compare but ended up purchasing the one I’d been lusting over in the beginning – Lazaro 3213. It was perfect.

Why Kristina Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
As much as I love my dress, I can’t bear the thought of leaving it to hang in a closet or sit in a box for the rest of its life. Another lucky bride deserves to feel the way I did on their wedding day.
