Beach weddings call for a gown that is a little lighter and delicate, but do not mistake that for casual! Korin, the bride from today’s amazing destination wedding, nailed the dreamy beach bridal look with a Monique Lhuillier “Emma” dress made of tulle and lace. Not to be outdone, Neal and his groomsmen looked fab in their linen suits. The rest of the theme created an elegant wedding, taking advantage of the tropical weather for an outdoor reception under glowing bistro lights.

The Ceremony
We were married on the beach in front of 105 family and friends at The Somerset on Grace Bay. I walked down the aisle escorted by my parents to “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” which was my parents wedding song when they were married, 40 years earlier. Their version was by Roberta Flack but I walked down to a remade, more modern version by Leona Lewis.
The Reception
The reception took place under the stars on the The Somerset’s grass lawn. The reception featured great food, hand-rolled Cuban cigars, unique cocktails, and a lot of dancing! The overall theme of my wedding was relaxed and beachy as most of my guests were coming from New York (including myself and my husband) after a really long and cold winter. My ultimate goal, as the bride, was for everyone to have an amazing mini-vacation with tons of sun where everything was taken care of for an entire three day weekend. Because everyone was flying in to celebrate with us, we wanted their experience to be just as amazing as ours.
Korin’s Dress Search
I tried on about 15 dresses and the Monique Lhuillier dress fit my body the best and felt ‘right’ for the beach location. It was very comfortable and I could wear it barefoot.

Feminine, confident, gorgeous.
Why Korin Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
Even though I love the dress, I know I will probably never wear it again and would like to give another girl the option to wear it.
