This Oscar de la Renta wedding gown made of silk faille and a grand cascading ruffle skirt has a beautiful sense of drama and structured elegance…such a perfect choice for Kathleen + Aaron’s classic and traditional church ceremony and country club reception in Nashville. We love the matching sweetheart necklines on the bride’s and bridesmaids dresses. And the plush bouquets in cream and coral look amazing. Thanks for sharing Kathleen + Aaron and congrats!

The Ceremony
The ceremony, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, had breathtakingly vaulted ceilings accompanied by a magnificent organ. Hydrangeas on every few rows led the way to an alter filled with hydrangeas and florals of coral and cream. The ceremony was classic and elegant, focusing, primarily on the bride and groom and their dearest friends standing with them. A dear friend, of both bride and groom, Libby Black sang ‘How Great Thou Art’. It was such a sweet celebration of marriage!
The Reception
The reception at Hillwood Country Club featured a romantic atmosphere with lush florals in coral and cream, antique crystal chandeliers, and a spacious dance floor. The couple’s favorite foods were served from rich southern cuisine to fresh Mexican fare accompanied by an open bar. The glamorous evening concluded with a lively dance party and music by Motown band Higher Ground.
Kathleen’s Dress Search
I tried on probably thirty dresses. I went to three different places the first day and one the second day. The first day I found two that I loved…but one was SO fashion forward (very Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and the City) that I was a little worried I might look back at pictures and think it was trendy. The other dress was gorgeous and SO classic…and I work in fashion, so I kind of wanted something that blended the two…fashion, but incredibly classic…and then I tried on this PERFECT Oscar de la Renta dress that was the perfect marriage of the two.
How Kathleen Felt in Her Wedding Dress
Classic, High Fashion and like I was made for the dress.
Why Kathleen Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I was a debutante in college and still have my debutante dress, sitting in a closet. I thought this dress was just WAY too gorgeous to sit in a closet!
