Sixteen years after they first met, Kathie and Tom tied the knot in a lavish ceremony full of glamour and sparkle. Of all of the pretty details, Kathie’s Galia Lahav gown might have shined the most beautifully. The art deco gown was finely cut with glistening sheer sides and iridescent irregular faceted stones. And Kathie personalized her look with a removable over skirt for the ceremony revealing the sensual sheath for the reception. Now she’s selling this amazing gown now so that another bride can have her dream dress too.
The Ceremony
The wedding took place in the atrium it has a gorgeous ambiance which includes a fountain, glass back wall and ceiling. I had white chairs for the guests the aisle was lined with ivory and white rose petals and tall glass cylinders with floating candles and crackled ice. The fountain was decorated entirely with varying heights of cylinder glasses with floating candles and rose petals. In addition flowers also encased the floor around the fountain. I had black candelabras with crystals, white, ivory flowers with a pop of blue orchids. Our ceremony incorporated the unity knot also known as the God knot. This was extremely unique and my guests loved it. My bouquet had white flowers with a touch of light grey and it had broaches and charms representing the loved ones that had passed and couldn’t be with us at the wedding. it was sprayed with a silver shimmer that created a slight glistening in the candlelight. My gown sparkled (you can even see it in the photos).
The Reception
The reception took place at the Manor House in the Augusta room this room is fabulous and features a large cherry wood bar, large cherry wood fireplace, wall of glass, chandeliers and I had a white dance floor. We decorated with candles, flowers and crystals. Candle light, elegant, romance was everywhere I loved it. The lighting was also phenomenal we had uplighting, pin lighting and during our first dance we had snowballs fall (lights). The end of the evening was topped off with Wish lanterns and a party bus ride home for the bridal party.
Kathie’s Wedding Dress Search
I visited many bridal salons, and traveled to OH, IN, IL, NY, PN states before finding THE gown. I am a perfectionist and I am very particular my gown needed to incorporate elegance, sparkle, uniqueness and sexiness, yet have the ability to be traditional during the ceremony. I desperately wanted a more formal look for my ceremony so I had a 3/4 custom detachable (yet undetectable) skirt created. During my search I became discouraged then I met gowns by Galia and Oh My!!! Can you say amazing designer? So well made, is unique and gorgeous and almost beyond words amazing. This gown looks amazing, sexy, elegant yet a little more traditional with the skirt on and when you take the skirt off people gasp at the transformation into the sexy, elegant, sparkle, classy gown.

Why She’s Selling Her Wedding Dress
I have decided to sell it because I really want someone else to feel the way I did at a reduced price. The one thing I noticed in my wedding gown search is the prices are very high and like I said I felt very blessed that I was able to purchase the gown with the skirt so that I could have my dream, I really want someone else to have theirs and Galia is the best designer I tried on.
