Today I get to share with you a truly inspiring wedding. Not only was it photographed by the amazing Ben Blood, but it’s the wedding of Happy Cavalier blogger Karen.
Here’s a little more from the bride about all the gorgeous details…
Tim and I met in college (Ohio State)… he was a senior, and I was a freshmen. We met through friends and dated all throughout my college years. My last year of school, I got an internship out here in Seattle, which then turned into a really great job, so I moved out here and eventually he followed… He proposed one morning about a year later!
We wanted to have a wedding that gave our guests a great pacific northwest feel since almost everyone came from out of town, but still be soft, romantic, and effortless. We decided to have our wedding on Whidbey Island so everyone could stay near or on the beach and spend a couple days enjoying the beautiful summer. I don’t know what it is about Whidbey Island, but once you get off the ferry it’s like this relaxed island vibe washes over you.
My dress was from Marcella’s LA Boutique in downtown seattle and my hairpiece was from Lauren of LoBoheme on Etsy…she did a fantastic job on it!! My sister did my hair and i did my makeup…nothing too fancy, just soft and swept back.
