This pretty wedding makes us smile. Every detail is classically elegant and the bride and groom just glow with happiness. But what we really love how this wedding is about a happy family. It united two brothers, two parents, and a husband and wife. The magic and meaningfulness of this event is just so special.

The Ceremony
We wanted our ceremony and reception to be at the same location, and it was perfect! We were married under large chandeliers, in front of big beautiful windows overlooking a patio. Our family includes Patrick’s son and our son together, and they were part of our ceremony, along with my niece and nephew. My sister and her husband were our MOH and BM, and my close friend’s father, who is a judge, was our officiant.
The Reception
We had an adult-only reception. It included a cocktail hour on the patio with hors d’oeuvres and drinks, followed by a formal dinner inside. The goal was for the reception to feel like an upscale dinner out with our 90 closest friends and family. The food was amazing, and the service was impeccable. We had a combination of round and long tables that were decorated with blush and ivory flowers and candles, and the entire room was surrounded by windows and lit by chandeliers. Guests could order from a dinner menu created for the event (by the bride ) and dessert included cake + a mini dessert bar. In addition to other alcohol options, we had a “signature cocktail” — a his & hers Old Fashioned (his = bourbon & hers = brandy). We also had a live jazz band called the “Gatsby Gang” providing music, and our favors were freshly-roasted custom blend coffee packets. It was all so beautiful and intimate. The photos are so beautiful – I feel so lucky!
Karen’s Wedding Dress Search
I lost track of the number of dresses, but it was A LOT. I really wanted something that was different from all the lace options and that would feel structured, elegant and timeless, and this one checked all the boxes.

Why She’s Selling Her Wedding Gown
Couture gowns are so expensive, and certainly not everyone can afford it! Since I know I’ll never wear it again, I really wanted another bride to have the opportunity to purchase it at a reduced cost so she can have the same feeling I had wearing it.
