This charming wedding took place at a bed and breakfast owned by the father-of-the-bride in a small town in the Netherlands. It was a handmade affair packed with vintage details created with love by the bride Jussi, her husband Jurgen and the bride’s sister. Hoping to reflect the mood and theme of their wedding, Jussi chose a playful, lacy vintage style dress by Jenny Packham, which suited the casual garden wedding perfectly!
Jussi + Jurgen | May 24, 2013 | Wamel, Netherlands | Dress Listing: Jenny Packham, May Blossom
The Ceremony
We married on the 24th of May: a stone-cold day in Holland that was actually colder than Christmas! The actual ceremony took place in the small church in front of my parents house in the small town of Wamel where I was born, in the Netherlands.
The Reception
Afterward we had a party with the ones we loved the most in the backyard of my father’s house. All decorations made by us, eating at a long table with 45 friends and family in vintage/garden style. We also had a great looking photobooth and barista who made coffee out of his small vintage car.
Jussi’s Dress Search
My dress needed to be just like our reception and ceremony. Playful, vintage style, not too tight and something I could dance in, but it should still make me feel like a princess. And what I was looking for, I found. Only a little bit over budget 🙂
How Jussi Felt in Her Wedding Dress
I felt loved, special and unique in this dress.
Why Jussi Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I decided to sell my wedding dress because I was myself was looking for a vintage one, but ended up with a brand new and expensive one! So now I would like to give a bride who does not have the money to buy such an expensive dress the same feeling/experience as I had!
