Julie + James’ sunset garden wedding was sweet, romantic with an elegant black tie reception. I love the rich purple floral decor as a vibrant touch for an October wedding that translates perfectly outdoors and in. And don’t miss Julie’s Rivini trumpet gown in lace and silk with a subtle tier design with unique patterns of lace in each tier. Julie explains, “From far away it looks simple, but close up, it is full of detail. I loved it, and I did not want to take off the dress sample–I would have been happy wearing it home!” Congrats to the happy couple!

The Ceremony
We wanted to have the ceremony and the reception in the same location. When we walked into the Rosewood Crescent Hotel, I knew it was the perfect choice! We got married in a beautiful garden at sunset!
The Reception
We held the reception in a wonderful ballroom at the Crescent. It was beautiful and whimsical, with just the perfect amount of cozy. It made for an amazing evening!
Julie’s Dress Search
I did not have an idea for my dress, but I did know that I wanted to buy it surrounded by my favorite ladies! I was so lucky to have my mother-in-law, sister, and best friend fly in to join my mom and I to go dress shopping. We had a wonderful day trying on beautiful, gorgeous, and a few crazy (feathers!) dresses, but when I put on my dress, I knew it was THE ONE! It is elegant but fun. From far away it looks simple, but close up, it is full of detail. I loved it, and I did not want to take off the dress sample–I would have been happy wearing it home!
How Julie Felt in Her Wedding Dress
Beautiful, Elegant and Perfect
Why Julie Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
My dress is beautiful and made me feel so special. The day would have been perfect regardless, as I married the man of my dreams, but to feel absolutely stunning was just the icing on the (wedding) cake! I hope that this dress will help someone else have that same experience at her wedding!
