When Tec Petaja sent me the link to Jordyn and Bradley’s wedding it literally took me all of two seconds before I decided to switch gears and change posts for the day. I was planning to feature their wedding on Monday, but I couldn’t wait another second to post their beautiful celebration on Once Wed. Not only are Jordyn and Bradley an absolutely gorgeous couple, but I am absolutely smitten over all the handmade and vintage details from their lovely wedding. I am so excited the bride, Jordyn, sent over a few details for me to share with you…
We wanted to have a simple yet elegant wedding with lovely but inexpensive details. And of course we pulled much inspiration from you at Once Wed among other blogs and of course Southern Weddings. We kept a notebook of pictures, ideas, and inspiration from other weddings and tried to personalize and tweak those details to create our own details that match our own styles and background. I found a pair of vintage clip-on earrings for super cheap, and just glued feathers on them and clipped to my shoes for a little extra pizzazz. They also contributed to my “something blue.” We both work for Billy Reid, and all of our groomsmen bowties were custom made, and Bradley’s handsome cognac wingtips & tie are also Billy Reid. My mother, Bradley, and I made all of the boutonnieres…
We had our invitations screen printed my a local musician and his wife (The Pine Hill Haints and The Black Owl printing company). We pretty much communicated the vision we had in mind and let them have free creative range and of course they did an amazing job with their own original artwork and handwriting.
SimplyBloom Photography from Huntsville, AL photographed our engagement session. The photo on our fans is from their lovely shoot! We decided not to do a traditional program, so we simply hand wrote our family members and wedding party to be placed on the back of the fan. Bradley’s fabulous brother and sister-in-law operate a family promotional business called Bammer Jammer, and made the fans as our wedding gift!
Part II of Jordan and Bradley’s precious wedding is coming up next!
