Turquoise waters, swaying palms, hundreds of your closest loved ones — sounds like the perfect wedding, doesn’t it? For Jessica and Rav, it was. This pair married in one of the many stunning beach destinations in Mexico, opting for a chic beach villa to house the day’s events. Jessica wore a stunning strapless Chantilly lace wedding dress designed by Ines Di Santo, so well-suited for the modern pooltop wedding. The palette featured all-white and cream tones…other than the bridesmaids gowns which happened to complement that stunning ocean blue.

The Ceremony
From the moment we got engaged, Rav and I knew we wanted an intimate destination wedding. We both have a passion for the ocean, so naturally we looked at destinations with beautiful beaches. When we came across a picture of a stunning villa in Punta De Mita, Mexico, our hearts stopped, and it was then when we knew that was where we were getting married. The gorgeous villa, Casa China Blanca, sits atop a cliff and overlooks the incredible Pacific Ocean. We chose November 8, 2014 for our wedding date because it was the start of their peak season, and the closest day to our anniversary date, September 6th. The six months of research and looking for the perfect venue, truly paid off. It was the most incredible experience we had ever had.
Since Rav and I come from two different faiths, we decided we wanted a ceremony that focused on “us.” We customized a beautiful ceremony that shared our story, our vows and our favorite poems. It was truly an intimate moment we got to share with our closest family and friends. The love that floated throughout our wedding day was a magical feeling our guests got to share with us. The custom pool aisle that ran down an infinity pool and overlooked the ocean, and the Spanish guitarist were just an added bonus to a dreamy ceremony.
The Reception
Casa China Blanca and it’s beautiful view of the ocean is truly a breathtaking venue. We decided on a very simple white and glamorous wedding because we didn’t want to take away from the beauty the villa possessed. In our first meeting with the wedding coordinators, Rav and I mentioned we wanted to give our guests an experience they would never forget, and that was exactly what they got.
As if the venue wasn’t unique enough, the coordinators introduced us to a culinary jewel that was an experience in itself. Chef Elias Sapien created mouth-watering, eye-appealing and playful dishes our guests haven’t been able to stop raving about. Elias is an incredibly talented chef, and we are so grateful to have had him a part of our wedding. Fortunately, between the DJ, the glow sticks and the fire dancers, our guests were entertained every second of the night. There wasn’t a detail that was untouched, and with the help of our wonderful wedding coordinators, our wedding was an experience of a lifetime for both Rav and I, and our guests.
Jessica’s Dress Search
After almost a year and a half of research, countless bridal gown appointments and two previously purchased wedding dresses, I finally found THE dress! It was actually an accident. Although I had already purchased two other dresses, I couldn’t help but feel uneasy about my choices. I just wasn’t in love with them, so I decided to walk in to a bridal gown store on a random day, and I end up falling in love with this dress five months before my big day. It wasn’t anything like I had ever imagined I would want, but it was just perfect! The moment I saw myself in front of a mirror, I finally felt like a bride.
I chose the dress for many reasons, but the main one was the fact that it resembled my personality, and that it almost symbolized an untraditional bride, which I was. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, I struggled between wanting both a traditional and non-traditional wedding. This dress gave me both. It was such an emotional day because I finally felt like my wedding was complete.
