Jessica + Mark | Enzoani Wedding from Bob Ortiz Photography

Jessica + Mark’s wedding in Orange County was romantic, youthful and fun with a deliciously vintage style. I love the classic look of Jessica’s Enzoani  fit to flare gown and paired with Mark’s white suit jacket, this couple looks totally timeless! Don’ miss the super sweet honey theme including family made honey for favors or the beehive wedding cake complete with bride and groom bees on top (pretty cute). Enjoy!

The Ceremony
The Ceremony was at Irvine Presbyterian Church. My husband is a pastor, so having the ceremony in a church was really important to us. The church also had to accommodate 250 guests, which made it difficult to find a space that was big enough to seat everyone comfortably and have room for our bridal party of 16, but not too large that it felt impersonal. It was so beautiful inside the chapel and I especially loved the beautiful flowers and candles lining the aisle.

The Reception
The Reception was at the Summit House Restaurant in Fullerton, CA. Five years before I was engaged, my parents had attended an event at the Summit House, and my mom thought it was gorgeous. We went there to celebrate my parent’s anniversary and my mom and I snuck in to take a peek at a wedding. I fell in love. So when my fiancé proposed, we only went to one place. I love the elegance of the space and the paned windows are so gorgeous and classic. One of our favorite songs is Blake Shelton’s Honey Bee, so I surprised my husband by asking my talented friend Haley Bishop to sing it for us. I also surprised him with a bee hive cake that was topped with bride and groom bees. Going with our theme, our favors were honey that was made by my Uncle. Another special touch to our wedding was the snow machine! Since it was in the middle of winter, we wanted to embrace that, but living in Orange County we had to improvise. All of the guests had their pictures taken in it and those were added to our guest book. Our band was also a big hit! Archie, was amazing and played such a great variety while focusing on the classics we love! It was the perfect place and party to celebrate the two of us becoming husband and wife!

Jessica’s Dress Search
When my mom and I started dress shopping, I had pictures of Lazaro dresses from magazines that I thought I was exactly what I wanted. I loved the idea of a natural waist dress, but after trying the Lazaro dresses on, I felt as if they were too full and swallowed me up. That is when I started trying on dropped waist dresses. I loved how figure flattering they were and that they showed off my curves, but I really missed the natural waist aspect. When I tried on my dress it was the perfect combination of a dropped waist with the beading giving off the illusion of a natural waist.

Why Jessica Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I decided to sell my dress because my mom saved her dress for me, and when we opened the box 37 years later, the dress was all yellowed and not my style. I doubt my daughters (if we have girls) will want to wear my dress and unfortunately it is too big to store.
