Jennifer and Daniel’s contemporary urban wedding includes everything there is to love about New York City. Streetscape wedding portraits, a romantic wedding ceremony surrounded by the beautiful architecture and bridges of the city and an industrial loft-inspired reception; this is just as much a love story to the city these newlyweds live in as it is to one another.

The Ceremony
We were married at the Empire Fulton Ferry section of Brooklyn Bridge park. I could not have asked for a more perfect location. We had Jane’s Carousel in the background with views of both the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges. A violinist and guitarist played an acoustic version of “Falling Slowly” as I walked down the aisle.
The Reception
Our reception was held at Galapagos Art Space in Dumbo. It is a beautiful performing arts venue, which features island seating on a 1,600-square-foot lake. The venue has a romantic yet industrial and relaxed vibe and from the second we stepped in we knew this was the place.
Jennifer’s Dress Search
I actually only tried on one dress. It was my dream dress ever since I saw it on Olivia Wilde at the 2009 Golden Globes — I knew I had to have it.

Why Jennifer Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I bought the last one of these dresses before it was being discontinued. It is such a beautifully made dress that I hope someone else will get to experience it rather than have it stay in my closet collecting dust. I also live in a tiny NYC apartment and there isn’t much storage 🙂
