This is a lovely lake house wedding with a stunning view of the Colorado Rockies. I love that Jenea + Eric said their I do’s under a handmade aspen arch overlooking Evergreen Lake. Don’t miss the warm and inviting touches in yellow…like the aspen leaves scattered throughout the dinning tables or the pretty mix of yellow flowers in tinted mason jars. Such a lovely day in an amazing log cabin venue. Thanks for sharing Jenea + Eric!

The Ceremony
We had our ceremony on the back deck of the Evergreen Lake House overlooking Evergreen Lake in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. We got married under our handmade aspen arch with aspen wood we collected. Our unity ceremony was really special because we passed rocks from guest to guest, and then Eric and I stacked the rocks making a unity rock cairn.
The Reception
The reception was inside the Evergreen Lake House, which sits on the lake. It’s a beautiful, rustic log cabin style structure with a wraparound deck outside. It was so intimate and cozy inside with a beautiful fireplace and wood beams. We collected and dried yellow Aspen leaves last Fall to scatter on the tables, which was a beautiful and unique touch. Decorations were rustic and handmade to fit our mountain wedding. We had a sit down dinner, a great dance party, and special dances with our grandparents, including my grandfather who is 99! There was even a rainbow and full moon that night!
Jenea’s Dress Search
The dress was a very special and important part of the wedding for me. I’d been thinking about how I’d look in my dress on my wedding day for years. I tried on about 15 dresses before finding my dress. I knew it was perfect for me because of the way that I felt while wearing it. I felt beautiful from head to toe, and I knew my groom would absolutely love it, which was also important to me. It was also incredibly comfortable, and I knew I would enjoy the night and not be restricted by the dress.

Why Jenea Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
As much as I’d love to wear my dress many times again if I could, I know that it will sit in my closet. I’d love for someone else to feel the way I did, and pass on the dress to be enjoyed again.
