Jamie + Alex | Ines Di Santo Wedding from S and B Photography

Jamie + Alex’s wedding in Ohio was sweet and traditional, with just a touch pre-ceremony suspense.  Fortunately for the bride and groom neither one knew that the best man had temporally misplaced the wedding bands until after the wedding day was complete (sheesh!)…but all the more fitting that the ring bearer was dressed as junior security outfitted in a suit, sunglasses and a hand-cuffed briefcase labeled ‘Ring Security’. Pretty cute.  Don’t miss Jamie’s absolutely stunning and totally flattering Ines Di Santo gown called ‘Turquois’ in pale blush silk taffeta, sweetheart neckline, rouched dropped waist bodice and dramatic crystal adorned flower on the side.  Just beautiful!

The Ceremony
We had a traditional afternoon ceremony at Stonybrook United Methodist Church, Gahanna, OH.  Jamie’s cousins provided the music by playing harps, violins, and piano.  The best man had temporarily misplaced the wedding bands—only to find them after going into the restroom to shake his pants out!  Fortunately, neither the bride nor groom knew about this until after the wedding.

The Reception
Winding Hollow was the perfect venue for our reception.  It is a country club in a beautiful wooded setting.  We were able to take golf carts onto the course for pictures with the bridal party.  We wanted our reception to be fun for our guests.  We had lots of appetizers including sushi for the cocktail hour.  Our reception entertainment was dueling pianos.  They really involved the guests. A photo booth and dessert table were also available through out the night.  We had so many people tell us how much they enjoyed the entire evening.

Jamie’s Dress Search
I started my dress search online.  I was drawn to the mermaid style gowns and I thought that I might want lace.  My mom and I only went to two bridal salons.  I tried on other styles—but knew that I wanted a fitted gown.  When I tried on the gown that I chose, I knew that it was “the one.” I had been thinking about ordering my gown in blush—the salon only had a small piece of fabric to give us an idea of the color.  I was a little nervous about ordering it, but when it came in and the owner of the salon called and was raving about how exquisite it was, I was very excited.  The first time I tried on my dress, I knew that it was perfect for me and I didn’t want to take it off!  I didn’t get a lace dress—so I was able to choose lace dresses for the bridesmaids.

How Jamie Felt in Her Wedding Dress
Wonderful, Stunning and Happy

Why Jamie Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I don’t feel it is practical to keep my dress when I won’t ever wear it again.  If another bride can love it as much as I did, it will make me happy for her to be able to feel as wonderful as I did on my wedding day.
