Think pink! This is the second wedding I’ve written about in recent weeks that features a blush pink gown, and let me tell you, I’m crazy for them. Jackie’s Lazaro gown not only featured the soft pink color, but a glorious chapel length train that looked ethereal floating around downtown Chicago. This classy wedding is bursting with elegance and emotion. Congratulations, Jackie and Geoff!
Jackie + Geoff | October 18, 2013 | Chicago, Illinois | Dress Listing: Lazaro, LZ3250
The Ceremony
The ceremony was held in the Crystal Ballroom at the historic Renaissance Blackstone Hotel. Geoff and I walked down an aisle lined with thick branches and hanging candles. The windows were open behind us overlooking Grant Park and the city. The ballroom featured the most gorgeous and romantic balcony and ornate fixtures along with hanging crystal chandeliers. It was breathtaking. I walked down the aisle to a violin, piano and flute playing “La Vie en Rose.”
The Reception
Dinner and dancing was hosted in the historical Renaissance Blackstone hotel in their Crystal Ballroom with a gorgeous balcony and chandeliers throughout. The florals featured hanging candles from branches at each table and open windows overlooking Grant Park and Chicago. We upgraded to a white dance floor which made the ambiance feel even more magical. We also had an eight piece band as entertainment!
Jackie’s Dress Search
I had always known I wanted a ball gown because when/where else could I wear such a dress? When I started shopping I started considering trumpet style dresses, but once I laid my eyes on this (my) dress I knew there was no other dress I could walk down the aisle in! I absolutely fell in love. I couldn’t take it off. Other people saw me and gasped when I walked by. I used to be a dancer and this dress looks like a ballerina dress to me. I also love Paris (the city where my husband and I fell in love!) and because of the pale pink hue of this dress, it felt like it had an element of Paris.

Why Jackie Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
This dress was several thousand dollars over my budget so when I bought it I promised myself I would sell it afterward to make up the difference in my budget. I have never felt more beautiful than on my wedding day and it will be difficult to part with the dress! I hope the person who wears it next will love it as much as I do!
