I recently read that sales of the iphone have helped the Apple report better than expected earnings in this economy, despite the decline in Macs.
I’m a recent iphone purchaser myself, so I thought I’d take a look and see what they have in the wedding department.
Here is what I found:
Wedding Date:$.99
A simple counter that counts down the exact years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds until your wedding. Then after your big day, it counts the exact amount of time you’ve been married. You can personalize the screen with any photo from your gallery (ie, your favorite picture of the two of you).
Similar apps: Wedding Day $.99, Days to Wedding: $.99 (but neither let’s you use a photo)
My Wedding: $3.99
This app has a pre-populated list of 166 to-do items (you can also add your own) and lets you edit, track and organize them by category or due date.
You can also spin a wedding decider to help you make decisions (if it really does comes to that).
iWedding: $7.99
According to their description, it allows you to keep all of your wedding information right at your fingertips. The home screen features a wedding countdown, the top 5 of your to-do list, quick notes and a photo browser. It also integrates with your contact list, allows you to record information by category (like dates, times and deposits for things like venues, flowers, catering, honeymoon, etc).
Other features include seating arrangements, budgeting tools and an inspiration and ideas section.
iBridalGown: $3.99
Allows you to save information and pictures about the dresses you’ve tried on in bridal salons.
Waltz: Free
Provides both the men and women’s footwork in the basic waltz as well as some more complicated moves like the underarm turn, balance step and throwaway oversway.
Thank You Gift List: $.99
Allows you to store a list of gifts on your phone (you can add a picture) and mark whether or not you’ve sent a thank you note. The app lets you set up different categories so you could create one for engagement, showers and wedding.
Wedding Dash Lite: Free
In this game app, you assist couples in planning all of the details for the wedding (cake, flowers, etc) and then help avoid obstacles like catty bridemaids and falling cakes to make the party a success.
