Heidi + Andrew’s wedding was a delightful and down to earth affair complete with crisp white decor, whimsical cursive stationary and a gorgeous off-white Silk georgette Grecian draped bridal gown called Nina by Hayley Paige. We are in love with the details of today’s featured wedding dress – crystal floral beaded straps and crisscross tulle detailing at the back with a chapel train. Put together with a pretty fascinator, Heidi’s bridal look is beautiful and feminine with a touch of glamor. Enjoy!

The Ceremony
Andrew and I wanted to keep our ceremony incredibly personal and fresh. We asked our good friend Jeff to get ordained and marry us. He was super excited and did an amazing job. I worked with him to write our ceremony. We tied a true lovers knot and it now hangs in our living room. Andrew and I exchanged vows we had written for each other. In true Andrew/Heidi fashion, he made everyone laugh and I made it sappy!
The Reception
Thankfully our reception and ceremony were at the same location. Everyone had a very short walk up a few steps to our cocktail hour. The bar was stocked with beer brewed especially for us by Andrew’s dad and lots of wine! Andrew and I painted corn hole boards with our names and sewed bags with our wedding colors. Our food was served from a local group that has a food truck! The taco station was seriously amazing! We danced the night away and had the best time. Whenever I am feeling a little down Andrew plays our first dance song and swings me around our kitchen!
Heidi’s Dress Search
In college, I briefly worked at a bridal boutique and tried dresses on for fun all the time! It was awesome! I did spend a little time thinking maybe I was jinxing myself. When the time did come for me to go shopping, I waited until a local boutique was having a trunk show for my favorite designer. I went in a week early with one of my bridesmaids and tried on a few dresses, saving my number one choice for last. Needless to say, I bawled like a baby! The weekend of the actual trunk show, I grabbed my other girls and went again. I let them pick out the dresses they wanted me to try on and had the consultant stash the winner in the fitting room for last. I put a veil on and walked out in the winner, my girls all knew! The bubbly was popped!!

Why Heidi Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
My dress was perfect for me, but I also know that she will sit in the back of my closet, start to turn yellow and lose the perfection that is currently in my mind. If I have a daughter, I know she will have her own taste and won’t want to wear my dress. I think my dress needs another day in the lime-light! She’s too pretty to sit in bag!
