Harmony and Jacob were married in what Harmony describes as a “DIY, eco-friendly, homestead, shabby-chic, vintage, gypsy-circus wedding” – and it truly was! Vintage details and accents, aerialists in the trees and amazing music were just some of the highlights of this homegrown wedding that took place on the bride’s family farm. These details combined with celebrating with their closest friends and family made this free-spirited couple’s wedding dream come true!

The Ceremony
The ceremony was in the Haney home’s back yard at sunset, officiated by a long-time family friend under a lace and tulle embellished structure. The procession began with my 6-year-old sister as the flower girl, and both of us being walked down the rose-petal aisle by both our parents to a strumming ukulele version of “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, played and sung by one of my kindred spirit friends. We wrote and exchanged our own vows.
The Reception
The reception consisted of live acoustic music, hand-mixed cocktails, and a silk aerialist performance in the trees! Guests were encouraged to write notes to the bride and groom, visit with the farm animals, and take pictures in the DIY picture frame cut-out wall. A candle-lit dinner was served in the side yard under colorfully strung circus lights. The food selection was catered and cooked on-site per order by a renowned local chef, the menu consisting of portobello mushroom, chicken or steak fajitas with unique sides such as pomegranate guacamole. The dessert table was nestled between two lit-up trees, consisting of a variety of unique and gorgeously delicious treats!
Harmony’s Dress Search
I wanted a romantic, vintage-style wedding dress that was form fitting, yet flowy, with plenty of lace and sparkle and with shoulder caps. After what seemed like the longest search ever, I finally found the perfect dress. It was even better than I could have imagined. I had it hemmed and fitted with a diagonal rhinestone pick-up added.

I decided to sell my wedding dress because I want someone else to feel the pure joy and contentment I felt when I finally found it. Although I’m still in love with it, I would like to allow someone else the opportunity to love it instead of it sitting in my closet!
